9a. Web Site Submission: Submission to Search Engines

Google, Yahoo & Windows Live, all are crawler-based search engines. They crawl the web (from one site to another) and automatically include web sites in their databases that they found during their crawls.

You may submit your web pages by visiting search engines’ Add URL pages; for example, to add a web site on Google, Yahoo, Live manually, you may visit www.google.com/addurl/, https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit, http://search.live.com/docs/submit.aspx and add your web site from here.

Never submit your site with a service that offers auto-submission to 10,000 search engines for $10 or so.
